Helping to Equip and Train Our Deputies

Supporting the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office

Our Mission

Douglas County Sheriff’s Advisory Council (DCSAC) is a non-profit service organization founded to raise funds for extraordinary expenses of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office including professional education and training for personnel, technological resources and other supplemental equipment.

The DCSAC was formed in May, 2004 by a few concerned community members wanting to help. The DCSAC has grown and today consists of community volunteers - business and community leaders, professionals, former first responders and your neighbors. We are dedicated to supporting our Douglas County Sheriff’s Office by obtaining corporate and private donations for needed technology, equipment, training and professional development programs not included in the Sheriff’s or County’s general budget.

You can help! Consider donating to the DCSAC and have a positive effect on the outstanding men and women of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

You can specify your donation to be earmarked for a particular project such as Professional Deputy Development or the K9 program (our two most popular), Search & Rescue, Mounted Posse, MARINE 7, etc.

Purchase Technology, Equipment. Training and Wellness

Since the inception of the DCSAC, the funds we have raised have been used for items that enhance the daily operations and provide for the safety and wellbeing of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office personnel and the citizens of Douglas County.

With the help of these funds, the Sheriff's Office has been able to purchase and deploy such crucial items and programs.

Funding for Training and Programs

The DCSAC has been assisting with funding that enhances the daily operations and provides for the safety of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office personnel and the citizens of Douglas County.

With the help of these funds, the Sheriff's Office has obtained needed equipment, technology, advanced training and in turn, provides tactical training, drills, and workshops to DCSO and other law enforcement personnel.

Support for Douglas County Sheriff Community

In addition to funding technology, equipment and training, the DCSAC continues to support and provide for the safety, wellness and professional development of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office personnel by enabling funding for advanced education tuition for professional and career enhancement.

The DCSAC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit service organization, locally staffed and managed, that was founded in 2004 by community volunteers. We are dedicated to supporting the Sheriffs Office by obtaining corporate and private donations, for essential technology, equipment and education, that is not otherwise provided in the general budget.

Our leadership consists of a Board of Trustees that meet monthly with four leadership positions and sixteen committee leaders and regular members.
